Predictions: Miami Heat vs Cleveland Cavaliers

Match Details

  • Fixture. Miami Heat Vs Cleveland Cavaliers.
  • Competition. NBA Playoffs, Game 3.
  • Venue. Kaseya Center, Miami, FL.
  • Date & Time. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 18:00 UTC.

Miami Heat: Team Form and Main Statistics

  • Recent form. The Heat are in a tough spot heading into Game 3. They’ve dropped both postseason matchups against the Cavaliers, putting them in a 0-2 hole. More broadly, they’ve won just two of their last five games–momentum is not on their side.
  • Home Performance. Miami returns to the Kaseya Center after a tough road stretch, having played 4 of their last 5 games away from home. But even the home court hasn’t been a sure thing lately. Their last appearance in Miami ended in a heartbreaking one-point loss to the Wizards on April 13.
  • Average points per game. The Heat have averaged 110.6 points per game. Their field goal percentage is 46.5%. While not elite, they’re capable of putting up points. Especially if they find rhythm early.
  • Key player. With Terry Rozier and Kevin Love both listed as questionable but expected to return, the Heat could get a much-needed boost in depth and experience. Bam Adebayo’s presence at both ends will be critical. He’s averaging 24 points in the postseason, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals.
Defence. Miami has struggled to contain Cleveland’s offensive threats in this series. They’ll need to tighten their perimeter coverage and force more stops if they hope to swing the momentum their way.
  • Head-to-Head vs Cleveland Cavaliers. It’s been all Cleveland so far in this series. Miami lost Game 1 by 21 points and Game 2 by 9 points–clear indicators of the Cavaliers’ dominance. The Heat will need to dig deep and make serious adjustments to avoid a sweep on their home court.

Cleveland Cavaliers: Team Form and Main Statistics

  • Overall form. The Cavaliers have been sharp this postseason. They’ve taken a 2-0 lead in the series against Miami and have won three of their last five games overall. With a fully healthy roster and solid team chemistry, they’re coming into Game 3 with confidence and momentum.
  • Away record. Cleveland has proved it can win on the road. They picked up a recent victory against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Although they’ve stumbled in certain away matchups–like their loss to the Pacers–they’ve shown enough resilience to perform under pressure.
  • Offensive performance. The Cavs are lighting it up offensively in the postseason, averaging 121.9 points per game. Their ball movement has been crisp. And they’ve been shooting efficiently across the board, putting Miami’s defense under consistent strain.
  • Key player. Donovan Mitchell is leading the charge, averaging 30 points per game this postseason. He’s certainly serving as the team’s primary scoring threat. Jarrett Allen has been dominant on the glass, pulling down an average of 11 rebounds per game, while Mitchell has also contributed defensively with 4 steals per game–proving he’s just as impactful on the other end of the court.
  • Defence. Cleveland’s defense has been quietly excellent. They’ve disrupted passing lanes, contested shots, and kept Miami’s main scorers in check across the first two games. Their ability to stay disciplined and rotate quickly has made scoring difficult for the Heat.
  • Head-to-Head vs The Heat. The Cavaliers have clearly had Miami’s number in this series. This is a matchup they are coming into with confidence. In the postseason, they’ve beaten the Heat twice so far and with impressive margins. They’ll be looking to make it a third time on Saturday.

Prediction Summary for Miami Heat Vs Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers have looked the better team in this series. They’re more composed, more efficient, and more dominant on both ends of the court. With Donovan Mitchell leading the charge and solid support from Jarrett Allen, Cleveland has outmatched Miami in both games so far.

That said, returning home gives the Heat a shot at redemption. If Terry Rozier and Kevin Love suit up, Miami’s depth and energy could shift the balance enough to keep things competitive.

Prediction: Cavaliers to edge out to a close one and take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

But don’t be surprised if Miami puts up its biggest fight yet!
